Exciting Opportunity for a Skilled Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to join our team at Stansted Airport. As a key member of our Ground Service Equipment repair and maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aircraft service equipment.

The Role:

As a skilled technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing on-site aircraft service equipment, including towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators, and specialist vehicles. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards, and that any issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.

The Person:

We are looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of working on commercial or plant vehicles. You will need to hold a City and Guilds certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate your right to work in the UK. You will also need to be able to obtain an airside pass, which will require a criminal record check and 5-year history verification.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 per annum, as well as a range of benefits including a 6% employer pension contribution, 3X salary life assurance, and a health cash plan. You will also have access to an employee assistance programme and be eligible for overtime pay.

Working Hours:

Our working hours are Monday to Thursday (Week 1) and Tuesday to Friday (Week 2), with overtime available on a weekly basis. You will also be required to participate in a 1 in 5 on-call rota, which will be paid at a rate of £10 per night and a minimum of 4 hours at 1.5 times your normal rate.
