Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Scottish Borders Parental Employability Support Team as an Employability Support Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to parents and families in the Scottish Borders, helping them to achieve their employability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement employability plans with parents and families, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to help parents and families access education and training opportunities.
  • Work closely with local employers to identify job opportunities and provide support to parents and families in securing employment.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting parents and families.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of employability plans and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Relevant HNC/SCQF level 6 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Current driving license and use of a vehicle (or ability to make reasonable adjustments for individuals with disabilities).
