Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Fawkes and Reece London. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of a timber frame housing development in South West England.
The role will involve working closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of the project, ensuring that it meets the client's requirements and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control plan to ensure that the project meets the required standards.
- Manage and coordinate the work of external consultants and contractors.
- Prepare and submit reports to the client and other stakeholders as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Extensive experience in design management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
