Position Summary: As the EMEA Staff Accountant, you will be integral in ensuring prompt payments for products and services while meticulously documenting all organizational transactions. Your responsibilities will encompass verifying and posting receipts, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring adherence to current IFRS regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing general accounting functions.
- Establishing and upholding procedures and controls to safeguard the organization against misconduct.
- Conducting monthly financial closings and reporting.
- Executing reconciliations and managing general ledger accounts.
- Preparing presentations and journal entries.
- Assisting with inventory assessments and analyzing the outcomes.
- Managing record retention for Finance, HR, and other departments.
- Leading or supporting audit processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IFRS setting (preferred).
- Strong mathematical, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with software systems such as Sage, Xero, Excel, JDE, and OneStream (highly desirable).
- Capability to engage with business systems directly or indirectly.
- Proactive approach with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to assist with deliveries and collaborate with other teams.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 0900 to 1700 with an early finish on Fridays.
Office Environment: Flexible, enjoyable, and laid-back.
Additional Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license.
