We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to perform mechanical and hydraulic maintenance at our workshop in Crewe and across customer sites throughout the UK.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working in the biogas sector and those with a Naval Engineering background.
Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will:
Carry out repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, macerators, and digester feeding systems
Plan service jobs and write up service reports
Perform repairs and overhauls within the workshop and travel to customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays
Support Warehouse staff and Spares team as required
Maintain a clean and tidy workshop and company vehicle
Other duties as required
Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with:
A recognized Engineering qualification or proven experience
A Telehandler or forklift license is desired but not essential
Personal skills
The Service Engineer role would suit someone who has:
Previous experience working within the Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion or a similar environment such as agriculture or wastewater
Experience carrying out mechanical work on pumps (rotary lobe pumps, progressive cavity pumps), macerators, and digester feeding systems
Happy to travel across the UK to carry out onsite servicing and repairs
A great work ethic and a passion for working within the renewable energy/biogas sector
A full UK driving license
