About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Liaison Psychiatry service, you will provide medical leadership and expertise to support the delivery of high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical leadership and expertise to the Liaison Psychiatry team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.
  • Assess and manage patients with mental health disorders, including those with complex needs, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other healthcare teams, including A&E and inpatient wards, to ensure seamless care pathways for patients.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, including service improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.
  • Supervise and support junior doctors and other healthcare professionals within the team.
