We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Diabetes Specialist to join our team at the NHS. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our endocrinology and diabetes services.
Key Responsibilities- Outpatient Endocrine Clinics: Provide specialist care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, and adrenal disorders.
- Inpatient Services: Manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, including those requiring inpatient care.
- Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings: Participate in regular meetings with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
- Qualifications: MRCP or equivalent qualification, MBChB or equivalent, GMC registration with a license to practice, and entry on the GMC's Specialist Register in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Acute Internal Medicine.
- Experience: Membership of Specialist Society, experience of general endocrine outpatient clinic, experience of general endocrine inpatient management, and experience of endocrine oncology management.
- Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain effective teams, positive attitude towards members of the wider healthcare team, and ability to explain complex information clearly.
The successful candidate will be based at the NHS and will work within the in-hours period (09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday). Regular teaching and training opportunities will be available, including undergraduate and postgraduate teaching sessions.
