Permanent Reach Forklift Operator

The Recruitment Group is seeking a permanent Reach Forklift Truck (FLT) Operator for a prominent client. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the client’s logistics operations, and prior experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred. A valid Reach and Counterbalance truck license is essential for this position.

Compensation:

  • Annual salary of £25,500 with an additional 11.5% shift premium.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Rotating shifts:
  • Early Shift: 06:00 to 14:15
  • Late Shift: 14:00 to 22:15 (early finish on Fridays at 19:45)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of transport vehicles using forklift trucks as needed.
  • Moving pallets as required to production areas.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in all distribution zones.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection protocols related to employees and customers in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to coordinate work activities and assist in resolving issues.
  • Identifying safety hazards and opportunities for improvement, prioritizing health and safety in all tasks.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must possess valid FLT Counterbalance and Reach truck licenses.
  • Proficient in IT and experienced with Warehouse Management Systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and related processes.
  • Relevant experience in a production or manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Effective time management skills with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must hold valid Reach and Counterbalance FLT licenses.
