Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our KS1 team at Teaching Vacancies. As a key member of our educational team, you will provide 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a child with additional needs, adapting your approach to meet their unique requirements.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of a child-centered and student-focused approach, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of the education system and how children learn.
  • Ability to make positive relationships with children, working closely with pupils who are finding learning difficult.
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of the need for confidentiality and awareness of child protection issues.
  • Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping.
