Technical Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our team in the Defence sector. As a key figure in designing and overseeing complex IT systems, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand technical requirements, develop high-level designs, and ensure seamless integration of IT systems across defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of secure IT solutions tailored to the needs of defence clients.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients to gather requirements and ensure the proposed solutions align with their operational objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on technical issues and best practices for large-scale IT projects.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet SC clearance-level security protocols and adhere to defence sector compliance standards.
  • Project Oversight: Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure timely delivery and successful implementation of IT solutions.
  • Documentation: Create detailed architectural documentation, including specifications, design diagrams, and operational guides.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect within IT consultancy, ideally in the Defence sector.
  • Strong expertise in designing and deploying secure, scalable IT infrastructures.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level solutions and emerging technologies in cloud, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with defence sector frameworks and procurement processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Must hold SC clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
