We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team at Sharpsmart UK. As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting commercial decision making through financial analysis, modelling, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting to identify trends, benchmarking, and to increase financial performance.
  • Cost Analysis: Support cost-analysis and price modelling to optimize business performance.
  • Financial Reporting: Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts, and effectively present findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting in support of business initiatives and performance, and develop experience in ERP and business intelligence systems.
  • Budgeting and Expenditure Planning: Aid in budgeting and expenditure planning processes to ensure accurate financial projections.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree qualified in a relevant subject, such as finance, accounting, or business.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in financial data analysis, either through internships, work placement, or employment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience reviewing and analyzing costs, trends, profitability, margins, estimates, and contracts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
