Mechanical Contracts Manager Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our team. As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical department, managing small projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of ongoing servicing and reactive works throughout the Wiltshire area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare cost pricing and estimates for new mechanical/HVAC works/reactive works
  • Carry out amendments or variations to existing projects/contracts
  • Review technical drawings and specifications for take-offs to create a materials list
  • Ensure SLA's are met, and maintain regular contact with customers to keep them updated
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are met, across the department
  • Manage labour, both direct and sub-contractors
  • Work from the office in West Wiltshire, with site visits when required, around the Wiltshire area
Requirements:
  • Technical background, within the HVAC industry, ideally heating or plumbing
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Based within commutable distance to West Wiltshire
  • Previous design experience advantageous
  • HNC in building services desirable
  • SMSTS desirable
Remuneration:
  • Basic salary £50,000 to £55,000, depending on experience
  • Company car or car allowance
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Company phone and laptop
  • Working hours - 7:30am - 5pm
