Production Engineer

Our client in Chelmsford is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join their team due to expansion.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret part blueprints and develop work holding fixturing to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
- Develop and set up part-specific programming on various CNC machines using the latest CAM software.
- Prove out programmes to production status and resolve post-processor issues.
- Advise on best practices for tooling, design concepts of fixtures or work holding components, and machining strategies.
- Provide accurate quotes to the sales team, estimating CAM programming, machine setup and machining run times, job-specific tooling costs, and additional post processes.
- Ensure the correct tooling is available to complete a job and order necessary consumables throughout the production process.
- Utilize 3D drawing/programming experience and CAD/CAM software in a manufacturing environment.
- Apply extensive experience of both on and offline programming of CNC machines and reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.
- Hold an Engineering HNC/HND (or equivalent experience) and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
