About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to join our team as a Children's Mentor at Sennen Education Ltd.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support and small group assistance to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children in a mainstream setting to help them access learning and improve their confidence.
  • Aid children in completing tasks set by the class teacher and promote engagement in educational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic needs of children.

Requirements:

  • Desirable experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA), Support Worker, or Learning Mentor.
  • Ability to work effectively with children with SEN or SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within a professional framework.
