Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Fire Stopping Specialist

At Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Fire Stopping Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of commercial operations and the administration of construction contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the Commercial Team to ensure seamless working and communication.
  • Administer construction contracts, including tendering, reviews, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Oversee workforce deployment, subcontractor management, and timekeeping.
  • Meet with subcontractors to approve stage payments, including accurate take-offs and measurements.
  • Evaluate and process change orders.
  • Generate regular cost reports and forecasts to provide the Construction Manager and Directors with up-to-date financial information.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cost-related documents, contracts, invoices, payments, and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team.
  • Support and seek best values in other areas of the business, advising and assisting where needed.
Requirements:
  • HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related subject.
  • Experience in the Fire Stopping/Passive Fire sector is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated, friendly, sociable, and driven.
  • Full driving license.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Self-motivated personality.
  • Attention to detail with a right-first-time attitude.
  • Organisation and time management skills.
