Position Overview

The Facilities Management Team at Lancashire County Council is seeking to hire a Casual Cleaning Staff member to perform cleaning tasks in the Leyland region.

A willingness to adapt to varying work schedules is essential, as the chosen candidate will be expected to fill in for absences, assist during holidays, or support additional service requirements. Having personal transportation is beneficial, although it is not a mandatory requirement.

The Facilities Management team oversees several prominent and historic buildings within Lancashire, which serve vital functions for the community and its vulnerable populations.

High cleanliness standards are a must, and while previous experience is preferred, comprehensive training and continuous support will be provided.

Responsibilities will include general cleaning tasks such as damp wiping, mopping, vacuuming, and restroom sanitation.

This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended). If selected, you will need to apply for a 'disclosure' through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Further details can be found in the 'Our Recruitment Process' section.
