Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Strategy Partner, you will:

  • Deliver comprehensive and insightful analysis of financial performance and operational activities, identifying actionable strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Promptly communicate performance challenges to management and assist in formulating corrective action plans.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of business performance drivers and effectively communicate the implications of any variances from established plans.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Director of Finance to develop and execute financial planning and forecasting processes that align with organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Engage closely with Budget Holders and Lead Directors to ensure that financial plans and forecasts accurately reflect current insights.
  • Stay informed about operational and strategic developments to ensure that all financial plans and forecasts remain relevant and to facilitate effective challenges to business initiatives.
  • Provide financial expertise for the assessment and due diligence of business cases related to service redesign, major transformations, cost-efficiency initiatives, and contract negotiations.
  • Contribute to contract negotiations by providing necessary financial information.

The NHS Suffolk and North-East Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is tasked with planning and procuring healthcare services for our community. Qualifications and Skills
