About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Eye Care Centre, Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our ophthalmic outpatients department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clinicians with specialized clinics, including LASER and cataract clinics
- Conduct visual acuity tests and gain competency in various equipment
- Ensure accurate and legible paperwork
- Coordinate clinics and maintain a well-stocked supply of materials
- Support patients and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
Person Specification
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work competently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Previous experience in ophthalmology or healthcare is desirable
