We are collaborating with a reputable textile manufacturing firm located in Middleton.

They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a focus on electrical systems to join their workforce on a 3-shift schedule (Monday to Friday). The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £42,000 to £45,000, along with opportunities for overtime and further training and development.


The ideal candidate will have a robust hands-on experience and electrical expertise relevant to a 24/5 production environment.

A strong understanding of PLCs, drives, HMIs, and related electronic apparatus is essential. Candidates must be open to additional training and development to maintain and enhance operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to planned preventative maintenance schedules
  • Responding promptly to equipment failures
  • Interpreting engineering diagrams and schematics
  • Performing machinery servicing
  • Conducting electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Troubleshooting PLC issues
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure uninterrupted production
  • Documenting all maintenance activities

Qualifications & Experience:

  • City and Guilds / Level 3 qualification in Engineering
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship
