  • Creating and refining models of nuclear facilities utilizing diverse modelling software.
  • Conducting analyses of fault sequences and system transients to guide design choices and support safety case submissions.

Key Qualifications for the Role

We are particularly interested in candidates with prior experience in systems modelling within the nuclear industry to bolster our existing team. The role is expected to involve:
  • Ongoing development of expertise in thermohydraulic modelling codes.

Essential Requirements

If you possess the following qualifications, we would be keen to hear from you:
  • Experience with nuclear systems codes (e.g., RELAP, GOTHIC, CATHARE, TRACE, VIPRE, S5K) in the context of nuclear power plant design or operation.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermal hydraulics, and multiphase flow.
  • A degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and deliver projects that meet client specifications.
  • Experience in proposal writing, client engagement, and business development.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous, though not mandatory, include:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB to enhance analysis and simulation.
  • Experience in providing technical and commercial leadership for small project teams.
  • A relevant postgraduate degree.
