Job Overview:

Role Context: The organization oversees several care facilities in the Kent and South East London regions, each requiring diligent maintenance to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. This position plays a vital role in the upkeep of the facilities, working closely with the Maintenance Support Manager.

Work Environment: The primary workplace will be within our care facilities, with the possibility of travel to other nearby locations as needed. This is a full-time position, primarily scheduled from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend duties. A valid driver's license is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive grounds maintenance
  • Performing internal redecoration tasks
  • Executing maintenance repairs and remedial actions
  • Monitoring and maintaining heating and lighting systems
  • Assisting in testing fire alarm and emergency systems
  • Carrying out routine health and safety checks
  • Performing plumbing and carpentry tasks
  • Maintaining equipment and facilitating furniture relocation
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Providing recommendations for home and grounds enhancements
  • Collaborating with management and external contractors
