We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Operations Specialist to join our team at NATS. As a key member of our air traffic control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute maintenance activities on air traffic control systems and equipment.
- Prioritize faults and direct engineering resources to restore service in a safe and efficient manner.
- Make operational decisions and provide guidance and advice to colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities and ensure compliance with our management system.
- Supervise airport maintenance engineers and contractors to ensure adherence to our standards.
- Conduct post-incident procedures to aid in the provision of incident reports.
- Work on a variety of equipment and interfaces across the airport, including communications, navigation, surveillance, and information systems.
- Engineering qualification to Higher National Certificate (NVQ Level 4) or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of air traffic control systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of airport air traffic control systems and equipment, including the impact on air traffic control operations.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the impact of facility failures on customers and dependencies on air traffic management engineering systems.
- Ability to prioritize actions under pressure and work in a safety-critical environment.
- Effective judgment skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license and ability to drive airside.
