Job OpportunityWe are seeking a veterinary surgeon to join our team. As a key member of our hospital practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to pets and their owners. You will work closely with our experienced nursing team, receptionists, and Practice Manager to deliver high-quality patient care.
Our ideal candidate will have good clinical and surgical experience, with a certificate or a desire to complete one in the next few years. You will be looking for a supportive hospital practice where you can develop and grow your skill base. We offer a flexible working environment, with admin time booked out for phone calls, lab reports, and an hour's lunch.
You can expect great support from our team, including a happy bunch of receptionists and a highly capable Practice Manager. We are very open to flexible working requests or a part-time role for the right candidate.
What We OfferWe have a full range of Idexx in-house lab machines, laparoscopic surgical equipment, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, and endoscopy equipment. You will work a standard 30am - 6pm schedule, with an equal share of the on-call rota for weeknights and weekends. We have night nurses on site 24/7 for inpatient care, and a private, recently refurbished flat on site for vets to use if needed.
It would be advantageous if the successful candidate was able to occasionally cover day shifts at our 'satellite' practice in Weston-Super-Mare. We offer a competitive salary from £37,000 to £60,000 depending on experience, benefits including five week's holiday, sick pay, discounted pet-care, and lots of cake, biscuits, and out-of-work social.
