Job Summary

The Warehouse Agent plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cargo warehouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for receiving and handling e-commerce parcels, operating small specialized commercial vehicles, and performing various tasks to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handles parcels through the parcel handling system, introducing them through the roller system and x-ray units.
  • Inspects cargo at the time of acceptance for signs of tampering, damage, or pilferage, and reports any irregularities to the management team.
  • Transfers freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas using forklifts or hand trucks.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  • Sorts and stores dangerous goods in proper areas.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes them to other locations.
  • Opens gaylords and other containers for breakdown, records counts of items received or distributed when instructed to do so.
  • Weighs and counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybills.
  • Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdown to and/or from skids, pallets, or ULDs.
  • Ensures work areas are clean and hazard-free of loose nets, straps, etc.
  • Must practice all company safety policies, including wearing PPE, operating equipment safely, and obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.
  • Screens cargo through physical search and X-ray screening.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a current driver's license with no violations over the past 5 years.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
  • Must pass a driver's test with the Department of Airports and obtain a driver's license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA).
  • Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis.
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical and a drug test.

Work is done both indoors and outdoors, sometimes with no AC or heating.

This individual will also work with disgruntled customers throughout the airport and must maintain a positive attitude when representing our company and communicating with customers within the airport.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear.

Other tasks include lifting passenger bags up to 70lbs, which could also involve bending and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70lbs.
