Welding and Fabrication Trainee Program at Boccard UK

Boccard, a prominent player in the nuclear energy sector with over five decades of experience, is committed to excellence in engineering, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance within the energy industry.

To foster our growth and ensure sustainability, we are seeking to enroll two trainees in a three-year Modern Apprenticeship program. This initiative is designed to cultivate expertise in welding and fabrication, providing hands-on experience at our advanced manufacturing facility.

The apprenticeship will encompass comprehensive training in welding and fabrication processes, enabling participants to produce piping supports and components that meet stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

● Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and protocols.

● Execute high-quality fabrication and welding tasks in line with established Standard Operating Procedures.

● Collaborate with the Production team to assist in plant maintenance and ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities.

● Maintain a clean and safe working environment to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

● Minimum GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or above (Grade 4 in England)

● Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations NVQ (preferred).

● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

● Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

● Self-driven and motivated.

● High enthusiasm and a proactive attitude.

● Proficient in computer applications.
