Job Title: Lecturer Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer Construction to join our team at The School for Vocational and Technical Studies. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment activities to students in the area of Construction (Level 1 to Level 5).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver lectures, set and mark coursework, and conduct practical activities and field work in the area of Construction.
  • Select and implement appropriate assessment methods and criteria, and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work closely with employers to develop and implement curriculum design and delivery.
  • Monitor and review student progress, and implement target setting and monitoring strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and contribute to the school's commitment to quality assurance and validation.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience of teaching Construction in an FE College.
  • Successful record of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring, and reviewing progress.
  • Qualified to degree level, with a successful record of outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Strong evidence of effective employer engagement in curriculum design and delivery.
  • Strong working knowledge of current frameworks for teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance.
