About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team at Quilter. As a Data Guardian, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to the business on regulatory compliance matters, including analysis and communication of regulatory change.
  • Support and challenge business areas on regulatory and operational projects.
  • Assess and challenge the effectiveness of first-line processes, procedures, and training.
  • Advising on and assessing Data Protection Impact Assessments for major IT projects and initiatives.
  • Fulfilling 'Data Subjects' Rights' for employee DSARs.
  • Managing 'incidents and breaches' for Quilter and all of the Central Functions.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European Data Protection law.
  • Experience with the day-to-day tasks of a Data Protection professional, such as DPIAs, ROPAs, Incidents and Breaches, and Data Subjects' Rights.
  • Ability to deputise for the Group Data Protection Officer (GDPO) during periods of absence or where workloads demand.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to demonstrate and set an example for the team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with business areas to foster strong collaborative working models.
