Job Title: Electrical Technician (Panel Building/Wiring)

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Gap Construction. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for fitting electrical components in accordance with engineering drawings and assembling a wide variety of electrical control panels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fitting of electrical components in accordance with engineering drawings
  • Assembling electrical control panels, including PLC's, invertors, sensors, relays, busbars, breakers, drives, and invertors
  • Installation and testing of electrical panels and cable assemblies
  • Commissioning of machines and factory and site acceptance
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition)
  • Experience working in an industrial environment
  • Experience in control and automation
  • Experience in building and modifying control panels
  • Knowledge of BS 60204 Electrical equipment of machines/control panels
  • Experience in fault finding
  • Experience/knowledge of testing to BS7671
  • Understanding of Risk Assessment & Method Statements
  • Ability to read schematic drawings
  • Flexible working within a team
  • Adaptability to periodic tight timescales
