Commercial Gas Maintenance Technician – Facilities Management Provider – Berkshire & Surrounding Areas – Competitive Salary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Maintenance Technician to perform both scheduled and urgent maintenance across various contracts in Berkshire and its neighboring regions. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in Facilities Management and demonstrate a successful history in the upkeep of commercial properties.

This role is well-suited for a Commercial Gas Maintenance Technician currently in a comparable position who is eager for career advancement. The company offers an attractive salary package along with opportunities for professional growth. Candidates must hold Gas Safe commercial gas qualifications, with COCN1 or CODNCO1 as a minimum requirement. Extensive experience in the maintenance of commercial buildings is crucial. Familiarity with boilers, burners, and boosters is highly desirable.

Compensation Package
  • Competitive salary
  • Standard working hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 am – 17:00 pm
  • Travel time compensated: Door to Door
  • Paid lunch break of 1 hour; overtime rates: 1.33x standard for weekdays, 1.66x for weekends
  • Use of company van for personal purposes, charged at HMRC rate (approximately 0.15p per mile); vehicles equipped with trackers
  • Generous holiday allowance: 33 days (25 standard + 8 statutory)
  • Pension scheme: 5% employee contribution with a 3% employer contribution

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering services, repairs, and maintenance across commercial properties.
  • Conducting reactive maintenance throughout the client portfolio.
  • Managing smaller installations independently.
  • Maintaining and repairing various systems within a portfolio of contracted buildings.
  • Diagnosing and identifying faults and failures in equipment.
  • Ordering and installing parts or components as necessary.
  • Performing both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and fostering strong relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with key performance indicators (KPI) and service level agreements (SLA).
  • Delivering a multi-skilled maintenance service encompassing electrical, mechanical, and building fabric disciplines.
Qualifications
  • Commercial gas qualifications: COCN1, CORT1, CIGA1, TPCP1 &1A, ICPN1.
  • Proficient in servicing and troubleshooting commercial gas appliances using electrical testing tools.
  • Ability to utilize initiative for problem-solving in challenging scenarios.
  • Completion of an industry-standard apprenticeship.
  • Possession of a full clean driving license.
  • Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to support the role and team members.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of operating handheld electronic devices.
  • Domestic gas qualifications: CENWAT, Gas boosters – BMP (desirable).
  • Experience with forced draught burners (desirable).
