Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Fitter, your role will encompass the following duties:
- Conduct and comply with risk assessments addressing health, safety, and environmental risks, in line with management policies.
- Support the initiation and conclusion of operational routines to optimize throughput within the plant's capacity.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain machinery to ensure material production aligns with site productivity objectives and maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment within your competency scope, adhering to the guidelines set by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and Heidelberg Materials.
- Assist in coordinating planned maintenance shutdowns, ensuring all activities are executed safely and efficiently.
- Engage in cleaning and housekeeping tasks, along with any other duties related to the 5S methodology as directed by management.
- Maintain accurate records as per management requirements to ensure all maintenance activities are documented for future reference.
- Safely operate machinery, tools, and equipment in accordance with regulations and manufacturer instructions.
- Be prepared to undertake duties at other Heidelberg Materials locations within a reasonable travel distance, with transport or travel allowances provided for longer distances.
- Ensure that workshops, equipment, and facilities are adequately maintained.
- Provide training and supervision to Apprentice Maintenance personnel.
