About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Case Engineer to join our team at Sizewell C, a major nuclear power project in the UK. As a key member of our Design Authority, you will play a critical role in maintaining design integrity and developing the safety case for the new reactors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of the safety case and provide solutions to challenging issues related to safety studies, internal and external hazards, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including overseas suppliers and UK regulators, to ensure the adequacy of the safety case and safety case deliverables.
  • Develop and review strategies and methodologies for managing and assessing risks from internal and external hazards.
  • Manage the production and development of the sections of the site-specific safety case.
  • Work effectively with the nuclear regulators in the areas of safety case management and hazards safety case.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in safety case development and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and within teams.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and keen to develop professionally.
  • Scientific/technical training and experience in identifying and resolving problems.
