Child Clinical Psychologist

The Mind Body Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team on a part-time basis. We are looking for a local candidate who can commit to a minimum of one day per week on a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to adults and ideally children and adolescents, employing various therapeutic modalities to address a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
- Family Support: Offer guidance and support to parents and families, where appropriate, providing psychoeducation, parenting strategies, and assisting with understanding and managing their child's emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Collaborative Approach: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care.
- Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Regularly monitor client progress, document sessions, maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, and prepare comprehensive written reports as required.
- Ethical Standards: Adhere to professional and ethical guidelines, maintaining client confidentiality and ensuring the highest standards of professional conduct.
- Doctoral Degree: Hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or a related field, with specialized training in child and adolescent psychology.
- Registration and Licensure: Be registered as a practicing psychologist with the appropriate regulatory body in the UK and maintain a valid license.
- Clinical Experience: Possess clinical experience in adult, and preferably child and adolescent psychology, including psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapy.
- Evidence-Based Approaches: Have expertise in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and possess knowledge of various therapeutic modalities applicable to children and adolescents.
- Strong Assessment Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and interpreting assessment results.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex psychological concepts.
- Empathy and Sensitivity: Show empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity when working with clients, maintaining a client-centered and non-judgmental approach.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including effective communication and consultation with other professionals.
- Local Candidate: Reside locally in the Tonbridge area or within a reasonable commuting distance.
