Job Title: Apprentice Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Commissioning Engineer to join our team at TEXO Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to projects throughout the company and liaising between Customers, Engineering, and Project Managers to deliver quality products that meet the requirements of the project and specification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure vehicles and associated equipment are correctly manufactured and meet the required standards.
  • Diagnose and fix faults in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform functional testing of equipment to ensure it meets the required specifications.
  • Complete test paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate systems to customers and provide technical support as needed.
  • Answer technical queries and provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and coordinate all commissioning activities within the manufacturing facilities.
  • Act as the point of contact with Client representatives during Testing phases.
  • Support the Production team as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety protocols.
  • Perform pre-delivery quality checks and QA checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
  • May be required to perform off-site activities to meet client requirements.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong leadership and logistical skills.
  • Customer-friendly and able to appreciate the client's needs.
  • HNC in electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a reactive maintenance role.
  • Fault-finding experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
