HGV Technician Apprenticeship

Job Summary

Biffa, a leading waste management company, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled HGV Technician Apprentice to join our team. As an HGV Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of modern waste collection vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing and repair of vehicle chassis and cab to VOSA requirements as well as MOT preparation and presentation
  • Maintenance and repair of waste handling equipment, including electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, both electronically and paper based
  • Support with H&S issues to maintain OHSAS18001 standard already achieved

Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision making and problem-Solving skills
  • Hold a valid driving licence, Cat B
