Data Quality Analyst Job Description

The Data Quality Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across various systems and applications. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data quality improvements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data quality frameworks and standards to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Collaborate with data stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality issues, and develop remediation plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Design and implement data validation rules and processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with data architects and engineers to improve data collection and storage processes, and ensure data quality is integrated into the overall data management strategy.
  • Develop and maintain data quality metrics and dashboards to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to data users on data quality best practices and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices, and the ability to apply them in a real-world setting.
  • Experience with data quality tools and technologies, including data profiling, data validation, and data cleansing.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business requirements and develop data quality solutions that meet those needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
  • 5+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment, with a strong understanding of business processes and procedures.
