Job Title: Senior Integration Specialist

As a key member of the Finance Transformation Programme, the Senior Integration Specialist will be based in the Information Services group of the University of Cambridge, responsible for delivering IT services that support the Collegiate University.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing integrations from legacy systems to the current and future Finance system (Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion). They will be responsible for developing and defining the integration build, accepting software modules from software developers, and producing builds for loading onto the target environment.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in several relevant programming languages used in the development of enterprise systems and be able to demonstrate a logical and pragmatic approach to integrations with the ability to adapt to meet the delivery needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and define integration builds, including acceptance of software modules from software developers
  • Produce builds for loading onto the target environment
  • Develop integration test specifications and conduct tests, recording details of any failures and carrying out fault diagnosis
  • Adopt and adapt appropriate systems design methods, tools, and techniques, selecting from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
  • Make recommendations and assess associated risks
  • Review others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology
Requirements
  • Expertise in several relevant programming languages used in the development of enterprise systems
  • Excellent planning skills for short, medium, and long-term using MS Projects
  • Understanding of ERP (preferably Oracle Financials)
  • Ability to share technical knowledge and skills to increase the available pool of skilled staff
  • Highly proactive, persuasive, and enthusiastic
