Join a dedicated team of educators in Sheffield who are seeking passionate and committed Special Educational Needs Support Assistants.

In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing and supportive educational atmosphere, ensuring that SEN students receive the stability they need in their learning journey. This position is particularly well-suited for individuals with backgrounds in care and support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group assistance to students.
  • Support the implementation of tailored educational plans.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with educators and staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating classroom activities.
  • Help students develop essential social skills and positive behaviors for success both in and out of the classroom.

Essential Qualifications:

  • While part-time roles are available, preference will be given to candidates who can commit to a Monday to Friday schedule.
  • A genuine passion for aiding children with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a constructive attitude.
  • A solid understanding of autism and associated behaviors.

Preferred Experience:

  • Relevant background in educational or support roles.
  • Additional training focused on supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Training in moving and handling techniques is a plus.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
