Overview of the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to become part of a dynamic team of quantitative analysts dedicated to the research and development of real-time market data and transaction cost analytics across multiple asset classes, including FX, Fixed Income, and Equities. Our approach combines advanced machine learning techniques with established statistical methodologies, providing a unique opportunity to gain insights from leading experts in the field.

This position is primarily office-based, with some flexibility for remote work arrangements.

Importance of the Role

The selected candidate will contribute to the State Street Global Markets (SSGM) division, which serves as the research and trading arm for institutional asset managers. Our primary objective is to enhance and protect our clients' portfolio values through innovative technology and strategic trading across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

As the Vice President of Quantitative Research, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of web-based applications within an enterprise framework.
  • Overseeing the creation and implementation of analytical models.
  • Generating research concepts for client execution.
  • Integrating research initiatives into operational systems.

  • Proven experience in leading web application development in an enterprise context, ideally within financial technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Capacity to work collaboratively while also being a self-starter.
  • Understanding of global cultural differences.
  • A proactive approach to risk management.
  • Familiarity with financial industry protocols, including FIX.
  • Experience with large data sets and low-latency system design.
  • Knowledge of messaging tools and cloud migration.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Docker environments.
