Position Overview:
In the role of Director of Procurement Excellence, you will assume full responsibility for the procurement excellence division. Your primary duties will encompass the establishment and upkeep of procurement frameworks, systems, policies, and training initiatives for our international team. You will lead and oversee a global team, championing procurement best practices while ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate, execute, and sustain procurement frameworks, systems, and policies to guarantee adherence to best practices and compliance throughout the organization.
- Lead and mentor a global team, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.
- Design and implement procurement training programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities and expertise of the global procurement team.
- Assess and analyze procurement performance, pinpointing areas for enhancement and executing necessary modifications.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to synchronize procurement strategies with overarching business goals.
- Ensure robust risk management and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Foster innovation and ongoing improvement within the procurement function.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior procurement excellence capacity, with comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, principles, and practices.
- Proven success in a leadership role, ideally with experience in direct management.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with prior experience engaging with C-level executives. Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional European languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
