Test and Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Critical Maritime Systems & Support Limited in Portsmouth. As a Test and Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our air purification equipment.
Main Responsibilities- Equipment Setup and Testing: Set up, configure, test, commission, and maintain complex process equipment to ensure it meets the required standards.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic Pressure Testing: Conduct pressure testing of high- and low-pressure vessels under PED compliance.
- Electrical Testing: Perform electrical testing, including low and high voltage circuit testing, insulation resistance testing, and earth bond testing, using oscilloscopes to capture analogue and digital signals.
- Fault Finding and Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues with electro-mechanical systems, maintaining an issues log for lessons learned and continuous improvement.
- Travel and Site Support: Travel to various sites across the country to support the UK Nuclear Program and occasionally abroad to support overseas customers.
- Quality and Compliance: Adhere to 5S practices and comply with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant engineering qualification, such as an NVQ/HNC or higher, or an apprenticeship in a relevant engineering field.
- Previous test and commissioning experience in a highly regulated industry, such as process engineering.
- A strong commitment to health and safety, environment, and quality.
- Excellent hands-on electrical and mechanical skills.
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a team and under pressure in a challenging environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and flexibility.
