Job Summary:
Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Shift Maintenance Manager to join a leading PLC business in a facility near Mansfield. The successful candidate will provide management and leadership to a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of automated equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of the shift team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Training and Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to the shift team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintenance and Repair: Carry out maintenance and servicing of all onsite automated equipment, including planned repairs and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment.
- Fault-Finding and Diagnosis: Identify and diagnose mechanical and/or electrical faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Reporting and Documentation: Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
- Leadership and Communication: Lead the shift handover meeting and support other site meetings as required, ensuring effective communication with technical and non-technical staff.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership position in automation, with a strong track record of managing and developing teams.
- Engineering Qualification: Relevant engineering qualification, such as a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Continuous Improvement: A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on optimizing processes and improving efficiency.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with technical and non-technical staff.
