About the Role:
- We are looking for a Science Teacher to provide education to pupils aged 11-18 in a secondary school setting.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the curriculum in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), with the possibility of working at Key Stage 5 (KS5).
- The role will involve teaching all areas of the school curriculum or subject specialism, organizing the classroom and learning resources, and planning, preparing, and teaching lessons that cater to all student ability ranges.
- The ideal candidate will be able to motivate pupils with enthusiastic and imaginative presentation, maintain discipline, and meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development.
- Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, support colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area, and stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
- The role may also involve taking part in school events and activities, which may take place at weekends or in the evening, and liaising with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
