Key Responsibilities

As an independent member of the Financial Reporting Advisory Board (FRAB), you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of financial reporting policy in the public sector. Your expertise will be invaluable in advising HM Treasury and Parliament on key decisions.

Time Commitment

The expected time commitment for this role is to attend 3 regular meetings per year, typically held on the third Thursday of each month, plus any additional occasional meetings as needed. You will also be expected to contribute to occasional out-of-meeting communications throughout the year.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Evidence of relevant accounting or public financial management experience at a senior executive level.
  • Effective leadership skills, with the ability to participate in policy formation and strategy development within a large organization.
  • Ability to challenge constructively and influence decision-making within a board setting.
  • Strong International Financial Reporting Standards knowledge and application.
