Key Responsibilities

  • Delegate tasks to our maintenance team at the depot, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of all work.
  • Oversee daily staffing requirements, including managing holiday schedules, absence, and overtime.
  • Supervise inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels for repairs and servicing.
  • Coordinate maintenance and servicing for cranes, trailers, and other machinery, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Engage in hands-on troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across various equipment types.
  • Effectively prioritize work orders, showcasing strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure environment for all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Candidate Profile

Education/Experience

  • Qualified technician with a recognized industry certification (e.g., City & Guilds/NVQ).
  • Proven supervisory experience in a maintenance setting.
  • Familiarity with mobile cranes, heavy machinery, and commercial vehicles.
  • Experience in task allocation and inventory oversight.

Skills/Abilities

  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and record management.
