Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Department: Finance

Location: London or Reading, mobile

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting our Operations and Sales teams in delivering financial performance in contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify underperforming contracts and support operations teams with improvement plans
  • Manage budgeting process for Operations and help with the identification of actions needed to deliver
  • Support Operations Directors in monthly trading process
  • General Ledger accounting experience to include month end responsibilities and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Initial investment appraisal with sales and/or operations in the bid process of new business or retention deals
  • Preparation of month-end reports and accurate forecasts
  • Debt reporting
  • Support the audit process during relevant audit periods
  • Training of operational teams in financial concepts and rules

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in a management accounting role or a finance role working in a service company
  • Experience of managing both the balance sheet and P&L of a business
  • Part or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Ability to manage their own time and achieve set deadlines
  • Good communication skills including previous experience of supporting non-finance colleagues in understanding financial performance
  • Organised and able to work alongside senior stakeholders
  • Pro-active, reliable, accurate and must display an extremely high degree of integrity and attention to detail
  • Own a car and a valid UK driving licence
