Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Transport Management Specialist to join our team at Egger. As a key member of our Logistics department, you will be responsible for freight planning, processing special cases, and ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Freight planning and processing special cases to meet customer needs.
  • Raising and issuing relevant paperwork to 3rd party transport companies.
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC procedures and policies when acting on behalf of Egger.
  • Evaluating performance and providing ad-hoc reports.
  • Providing out-of-hours support and absence cover.
  • Matching suitable part-loads together within defined geographical and time constraints.
  • Advising Customer Service and Sales of delays or difficulties.
  • Liaising with Sales and Finance in case of credit-blocked deliveries.
  • Providing customers with notice-of-delivery when required.
  • Providing in-house systems training, e.g. SAP, BO-Analysis.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Reasonable standard of secondary education.
  • Health and Safety Awareness.
  • Transport Qualification preferred – CILT level 1, 2.
