Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Environmental. As a Risk Assessor, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our water hygiene compliance contracts.

About the Role:

  • Undertake legionella risk assessments, risk assessment reviews, and surveys on a wide variety of water systems, ensuring a good understanding of both commercial and domestic water systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all risk assessment reports and their satisfactory completion and quality checking, prior to issue.
  • Assist with the technical development of the risk assessment document.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and recorded, and are complete and accurate.
  • Make arrangements for visits with clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide full support to the Service Manager, as and when required.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as required.

  • Effective communication with good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of the organization, and with third parties.
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and make decisions, taking appropriate action to a resolution.
  • Ability to attain an accurate and consistent standard of service.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and positively as a team member.
  • Computer literacy, with the ability to effectively use the Microsoft Office package and bespoke software/databases.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • At least 1 year risk assessing experience.
  • City and Guilds Qualification.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

  • Detailed working knowledge of the HSE's ACoP L8, HSG274, and HTM-04-01.
  • Excellent understanding of Water Regulations and hold an appropriate certificate.
  • Full Driving Licence.
