Role Summary:
The Legends Tour is seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for managing media attendance, producing engaging media content, and writing website reports and features during event weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Relations: Lead the media strategies for the Legends Tour, working closely with key Tour staff, sponsors, and promoters to communicate the brand and messaging globally.
- Content Creation: Support the Content & Social Media Manager and Creative Director to produce innovative and engaging digital content and written editorial for the Legends Tour digital estate.
- Media Management: Manage media attendance at Legends Tour events, assist with media enquiries, conduct player interviews, and organize media conferences as necessary.
- Content Distribution: Distribute content to the Tour's global network of media contacts and establish new channels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the content and social media teams to identify relevant stories and content ideas and liaise with the production team to see these ideas through from concept to publication.
Requirements:
- Background: Background in multi-media journalism with strong writing skills.
- Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of web content and social media platforms, good knowledge of publishing software, and a good knowledge of the game of golf.
- Experience: Public Relations experience, ideally in sport, and a start-up mentality and solution-focused individual.
