Your role will encompass everything from troubleshooting equipment to enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the engineering team, you will deliver effective mechanical and electrical support across the production facility. Your tasks will include responding to urgent maintenance needs, engaging in continuous improvement initiatives, and executing scheduled maintenance activities. You will work with sophisticated automated cooking and packaging machinery.

  • Respond proactively to maintenance requests, continuous improvement initiatives, and urgent breakdowns;
  • Maintain accurate records of all engineering activities;
  • Conduct root cause analyses as necessary;
  • Communicate any additional work requirements;
  • Identify continuous improvement projects for recurring issues.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Relevant engineering qualification;
  • Proven competency in isolation procedures, electrical safety, and safe access to control panels;
  • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environments;
  • Proficient in using computer-based maintenance management systems;
  • Adaptability and flexibility in work approach;
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards;
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble machinery, including performing machine size change procedures and adjustments.

Additional Information:

Shift Pattern:

  • 12-hour shifts, following a 4 on / 4 off schedule;
  • Shifts from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am.

Salary:

  • £46,920 per annum.
