Project Manager - Commercial/Design

Flagship Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in the Water Industry. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple design-based projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely completion, quality, and cost parameters are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background, with experience in contract management, risk and issue management, and project governance. You will be responsible for managing key client projects, coordinating technical resource, and developing scope requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing internal programs for project delivery and reporting on progress to the client and internally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership to ensure timely delivery of multiple design-based projects.
  • Manage risk and issue registers, early warning registers, and compensation event claims.
  • Lead weekly design progress meetings and document outputs for client updates.
  • Manage contract duties in accordance with framework or account processes.
  • Ensure IMS compliance for assigned projects, including project audits, project governance, and corrective actions.
  • Develop internal programs for project delivery and report on progress to the client and internally.
  • Develop price quotes for projects and ensure delivery in line with agreed budget and profit parameters.
Requirements:
  • Water Industry or wider utilities experience preferred.
  • APMP/ AMP PMQ (Project Management Qualification)/ PRINCE 2 or equivalent.
  • Contract management of design schemes lump sum and time and expense.
  • Possibly a background in design management within construction or project management on design projects, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in civil/structural/mechanical/electrical design environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software required.
  • Microsoft project/Gantt chart experience desirable.
